Whether you want to call it The Blahs, or Depression, feeling down in the dumps is no fun. Life can be stressful and at times bring us down. The good news is that there is something natural within our reach that can help us get through trying times.
Aromatherapy, or essential oils, are helpful in elevating and balancing moods. Nature has many answers for problems and leveling out emotions is one of them. Essential oils that are not perfume grade carry the “life force” of the plant. They offer the plant’s vibrancy and normalizing effects. They oxygenate our environment and our bodies when we wear them. Nature likes to “balance”.
One of the popular essential oils used for balancing moods is lavendar. Lavendar, called the “Swiss Army Knife” of essential oils can help calm down upset emotions, or uplift a low feeling. This application of essential oils is not known to be used medicinally in North America, but in Germany aromatherapy is often recommended by mental health care professionals.
Essential oils that are not perfume grade carry the “life force” of the plant. This “life force” can transfer over to enhance our own “life force” and make us feel generally better.
